Specialist Retreats 

We provide retreat days for North East carers and People who have been bereaved. Your first visit is fully funded, we subsidise all subsequent days through awards from grant making organisations and generous sponsorship from local businesses.

Our aim is to make everyone feel welcome, the retreats are open to all and are not religious in nature.

CARERS RETREAT

This is a beautiful place to have some time for yourself, to de-stress and unwind. We have varied activities to suit all personalities.

The retreat day will include activities, all refreshments and a 2-course lunch.

 The Venue

We select venues across the North east with character and beautiful surroundings to inspire and uplift you.

These include Shepherds Dene – an Edwardian Retreat House in 20 acres of meadows and woodlands In Northumberland and Usher Hall – an historic Estate and gardens in Durham.

Your Day

At U Retreat we work with local artists and crafts people and qualified holistic therapists to deliver sessions that will rejuvenate, relax and uplift you.

Food and Drink

Food is home cooked and fresh. Refreshments are provided throughout the day.

All dietary requirements can be catered for with advanced notice.
